Adco-Napamol tablets are a sugar-free pain and fever medication, with paracetamol as the active ingredient.
Active ingredients
The primary active ingredient in Adco-Napamol tablets is paracetamol.
Each tablet contains 500 mg of paracetamol.
It is a sugar-free formulation.
Therapeutic uses
This medication is used for the relief of mild to moderate pain and fever. It is indicated for conditions such as:
- Headache
- Toothache
- Muscular aches and pains
- Sore throat
- Pain from colds and flu
- Pain from osteoarthritis
Dosage
- Adults and children over 12 years: Take 1 to 2 tablets every 4 to 6 hours as needed. Do not exceed 8 tablets in 24 hours.
- Children 6 to 12 years: Take 1/2 to 1 tablet 3 to 4 times daily as needed. Do not exceed 4 doses in 24 hours.
Important: Do not exceed the recommended dose, as an overdose of paracetamol can cause severe liver damage.
Important warnings and precautions
Allergy: Do not use this product if you have a known hypersensitivity or allergy to paracetamol or any other ingredient.
Liver disease: Individuals with severe liver function impairment should not take Adco-Napamol. Those with liver or kidney disease should use it under medical supervision.
Overdose: In case of a suspected overdose, contact a doctor, hospital, or poison control center immediately, even if no symptoms are present. Paracetamol overdose can be fatal.
Alcohol: Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medication, as it increases the risk of liver damage.
Other paracetamol medications: Be careful not to take other medicines containing paracetamol to avoid an overdose.
Possible side effects
Side effects are rare when taken at the recommended dose, but can include:
- Skin rashes or itching
- Swelling of the face, tongue, or throat (indicating a severe allergic reaction)
- Blood cell disorders
- Liver and kidney damage (with long-term use or overdose)
